Honey preserves the skin’s acid mantle (aka anti aging!) and regulates the skin’s pH.
Honey is also a natural humectant, so it helps keep the skin moist but not oily. This is because humectants draw moisture from the skin without replacing it. It's known to fade scars and reduce post acne hyperpigmentation with its trace amounts of hydrogen peroxide.
